As Duchenne parents, it has always been about quality of life… not quantity.
Just this evening as another newly diagnosed mom reached out to us – I had to tell her that often I feel like duchenne is the end…. But with our Duchenne Alliance, we must look at Duchenne as the beginning of an incredible life for each of our boys… and what do you know – the perfect example of living is right here through 13 year old Austin Leclaire - http://www.reformer.com/localnews/ci_21970115/first-austin-sr-youth-rare-disease-shoots-first - as he celebrates his first buck. Here is to you Austin and to many, many, many more bucks in your beautiful, full life!!!
